FAQ's

Everything you need to know about IRISWEBX ALMS. Can't find the answer you're looking for?

Say hi at iriswebxsupport@gmail.com

How do we get started with IRISWEBX ALMS?

Get in touch and the team sets your institution up with its own space, then walks your administrators through adding departments, courses, faculty and students. Most colleges are running their first term within a few days. The getting started guide walks through the whole process step by step.

Can we use our own name and branding?

Yes. Each institution gets its own address and sign-in page carrying your crest, name and colours, so students and faculty see your college rather than a generic portal.

How is our student and academic data protected?

Your records are held in your institution's own space and are not shared with other colleges on the platform. Access is controlled by role, so people only see the records their role allows. The security and protection guide covers this in full.

Who can access which parts of the system?

Every role — administrator, academic dean, registrar, mission director, chaplain, dean of students, finance officer, faculty and student — gets its own view. Administrators decide who holds which role, and can change it at any time. There is a role-by-role breakdown on the security page.

Does ALMS work on phones and tablets?

Yes. ALMS runs in the browser on Android and iOS, so there is nothing to install from an app store. Students can check courses, assignments and grades from their phones.

What is IRISWEBX Live?

IRISWEBX Live is the live-class part of ALMS — teaching delivered in real time, inside the platform that already holds your courses, roll and assignments. It is not a separate product, and it is covered by your existing subscription. The IRISWEBX Live overview covers what it does, and the help guide covers what you need and what to try when a class will not start.

Do we need to install anything for live classes?

No. Live classes run in the browser like the rest of ALMS, on a computer, tablet or phone. There is nothing for your students to download and no licence for them to buy — a current browser and a connection steady enough for video is all it takes.

How do the AI features work?

The AI tools assist with question papers, answer keys, academic analytics, plagiarism checks and day-to-day questions about your institution's data. They produce drafts for your staff to review — a human always has the final say.

What does a subscription include?

Subscriptions cover your institution's hosting, updates and support. Contact the team for current plans and pricing for the size of your college. The account and subscription guide covers renewals, billing and who manages the account.

How do we get help if something goes wrong?
